Chris is direct, straight forward and very professional. We weighs up the pros and cons and gives a balanced opinion. I like and respect him though he is not that warm, but that’s probably what you want in a senior consultant.

Following two extremely informative detailed consultations, two scans and a biopsy Mr Christopher Anderson undertook a robotic partial nephrectomy on my left kidney as the most recent scan had shown a small but consistent increase in size of the very small lesion, and the biopsy showed the lesion to be cancerous. The very small tumour was 100% removed and there were no complications during or following the procedure In fact I was walking around the ward at The Cromwell Hospital at my usual pace the following afternoon, and apart from feeling very tired I felt very well.I went home happily after 3 nights. I cannot thank Mr Anderson enough for the individual personal care and attention from our initial meeting, throughout my stay at The Cromwell Hospital and the follow up since leaving the hospital. It is 6 days since I left the hospital and I am completely pain free. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Mr Christopher Anderson should you be considering using his services. Yours sincerely Leon D Kennedy

Mr Anderson identified and sorted out my "waterworks" problems being retention of a large amount of urine causing a distended bladder. This was treated by stomach catheterisation for 5 months and then followed by a TURP. The result has been a success and return to normality.

Mr Anderson was one of the first to adopt laparoscopic techniques in urology surgery in the UK. In 2004 he introduced laparoscopic renal cryotherapy, also the first operation of its kind in the UK. He continued to develop this technique and has the largest series with long term follow-up in the country. He was an integral member of the team that pioneered robotic surgery in the UK, introducing the robotic surgery programme to St George's Healthcare in July 2008, and has successfully developed the service as lead robotic surgeon.
